I am freelance videographer in Seattle, WA. I specialize in documentaries, video journalism and new-media. Currently I'm the producer of CHS-V a video series on the Capitol Hill Seattle neighborhood blog, and my production company, Cheesecake Productions LLC, is the Video Partner for the Seattle Storm WNBA Team.
I have been making films since 2002, when I co-directed my first short film called "Taking Pictures", which won Best of Fest at the Nathan Hale Film and Video Festival.
I recieved an interdisciplinary degree from Fairhaven College at Western Washington University. The degree, Non-Fiction Video Production, was a combination of film classes from the NW Film School, and university courses in communications, journalism, media literacy, documentary studies, marketing and oral history.
While attending Western Washington University, I produced "Smells Like Money: The Story of Bellingham's Georgia Pacific Plant" a feature length oral history documentary that won a Silver Telly Award and an Award of Excellence from the Videographer Awards. It was screened at the 2006 Northwest Projections Film Festival, the 2007 Port Townsend Film Festival, and on Bellingham's BTV10. The film is currently for sale at Village Books in Bellingham.
While I mainly focus on documentaries, I have also worked on a number of fiction film sets, from Albert Pyun's Bulletface in LA, to Glen Berry's Kung Fu Joe in Bellingham.
I currently live in Seattle, WA, working as a freelance videographer. You can read about my current projects on the home page.
