I’m a Seattle kid at heart - with roots in both Lake City and Capitol Hill. I’ve also spent time in Bellingham, via Western Washington University, and Bremerton where I live now.
Journalism and communications has been an ideal career path for me - as someone who loves learning about new topics, and has a knack for taking complex ideas and boiling them down to the essential pieces that make them both understandable and interesting to a wide audience.
I also know that a well told story is never one dimensional. My goal is always to tell the immediate story - who what when where - while simultaneously telling a deeper story. How does this story fit in to a larger narrative about us as people, about your brand, or about the world around us? I always try to include both those elements in every story I tell.
I’ve been lucky that I’ve been able to follow my interests as I’ve developed my career - urbanism, science, and design. But my work has also lead me to new interests. After many years of working with clients like the Seattle Storm and Allrecipes.com, I’m now a dedicated women’s basketball fan and an avid cook.
The best part of this line of work is always knowing the next project could be just a phone call or email away…
